"The Art of the Rag"

The OCO returns to Hidden Glen with this special program celebrating America's first popular music. Performing such familiar tunes as "The Entertainer" and the "Maple Leaf Rag," the orchestra will re-create the sound of an authentic ragtime orchestra of the early Twentieth Century.

The real-life heroes of America's armed forces are honored in a program which also includes the Symphony No. 8 by Dvorak.  The color guard from the Olathe American Legion will make a special appearance.

Our annual Scholarship Concert offers orchestral masterpieces from over the centuries, from Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 to great music of our time  plus, Michael J. Khadavi, the winner of the High School Concerto Competition.
