OCO 2026 High School Scholarship Winner
Zach Rephlo, Violin

The Olathe Community Orchestra is pleased to showcase a talented high school student on our 2026 spring concert: violinist Zach Rephlo, a freshman at Blue Valley Northwest High School!

Zach will perform the Andante from Violin Concerto in E minor  by Felix Mendelssohn with the OCO on Sunday, May 3, 2026, 3:00 pm, at Grace United Methodist Church, Olathe, Kansas.

About Zach Rephlo

Zach Rephlo is a freshman at Blue Valley Northwest High School and a student of Lubomira Paskaleva. He has served as principal viola for the Youth Symphony of Kansas City (YSKC) for the past two years and is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America 2 (NYO2), where he will participate in a two-week residency in New York City, including a performance at Carnegie Hall, as well as a five-day residency in the Dominican Republic. Zach was also the winner of the 2024 KMTA Junior Strings Competition. For this concert, he will be performing on violin. When he’s not making music, he enjoys spending time outdoors and playing sports like golf.

OCO High School Scholarship Competition

Each year, the Olathe Community Orchestra provides an opportunity for talented high school musicians in the Olathe area to audition for a chance to perform a solo with the orchestra and receive a scholarship. Past winners have included violinists, violists, cellists, percussionists, a bassist, and a flutist.
